Current Driving Conditions
A 4×4 wheel drive vehicle or chains are not usually required to access Copper Lodge in winter, although the road leading to the property may get muddy or icy. Snow may sometimes fall at this elevation, (2200’). During the late fall/winter season, it’s always a good idea to carry chains in your car. If it’s raining at the Lodge, it may be snowing in the park, depending on the elevation, and Yosemite enforces chain controls in the park.
